Albert W. Hiller, age 79, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 19, 2014, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn (nee Brixey), his two daughters, Linda (Tony) Aiello of Frankfort and Sharon (Bob) Zolner of Green Garden, his three sons, David (Tracy) Hiller, Daniel (Janice) Hiller, and John (Cheryl) Hiller all of Manhattan and his ten grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ruth (nee Feltz) Hiller. Albert farmed his whole life in the Manhattan area and was engaged in the dairy business for most of his career. He was a long time member of the Will County Farm Bureau, active in the 4-H along with his children for many years, a lifelong member of the St. Peters Lutheran Church in Joliet where he served as an Elder and a choir member. Albert was a proud veteran, he served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Funeral service for Albert will be 11:00a.m., Monday, January 27, 2014 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 295 West Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL, with Pastor Hahn officiating. He will lie-in-state one hour before his service. Visitation will be Sunday, January 26, from 2-4:00p.m. and 6-9:00p.m. at Forsythe Funeral Home. Interment Manhattan Center Cemetery. Memorials in Albert's name to St. Peters Lutheran Church, Joliet or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Frankfort would be most appreciated.
