Alice I. Wilson (nee Drout), age 96 of Channahon formerly of Elwood, passed away peacefully with her loving granddaughter Allison at her side on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Ascension St. Joseph, Joliet. She is survived by her daughter Carol Allison, son-in-law John Coldwater, grandchildren Jeff Chelini, Allison Stipanovich, Johnny (Julie) Coldwater, Angela (Chris) Pease, great grandchildren Lexus (Tom Younker) Stipanovich, Andrew Coldwater, Austin Coldwater, Samantha Mabry, Daniel Mabry and Gavin Mabry, great great grandchild Ezra Wiencek, and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Alma Drout, first husband George Allison, second husband Everett Alling, third husband Gerald Wilson, daughter Sharon Coldwater, sisters Lillian Arnold and Helen Hagmeyer and great grandson Myles Stipanovich. Alice retired from Frederick Binery after several years. She enjoyed working in her yard, flower gardening, nice beers and ice cream. When asked what she wanted for her birthday, she would always say chocolate covered cherries and dirt. Alice loved her family especially all her grandchildren, she thoroughly enjoyed life until the very end. Alice will be remembered for her genuine smile and her go along with anything attitude. Alice will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Private family services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
