Obituary

Allan R. Braun, age 72, of Elwood, IL passed away Thursday, Feb 5, 2015 at his winter home in Harlingen, TX. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Beth, one son Bob (Valerie) of Boise, ID, one daughter, Sue (Butch) Alton of Custer Park, three granddaughters, Kali, Mallory, and Madelyn Alton, his mother Evadean of LaSalle IL, one sister-in-law Marge of Roselle IL, one brother, Roger of St Francis, MN, and two sisters, Judy (Mike) Green of LaSalle IL, Diana (Doug) Julian of Peru IL, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Frank and one brother Donald. He was a very generous and helpful man, always available, lending a hand to all of his friends. Allan retired from Caterpillar tractor Co. in 1998 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed his retirement, walleye fishing vacations in Minnesota with family, spending summers fishing for catfish in Mauston, WI and he thoroughly enjoyed the warm Texas sun, building and fixing everything throughout the winters. Visitation for Allan will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 3-8:00p.m. and on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 10:00a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11:00a.m. at the funeral Home.
