Allan R. Hodge, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Lightways Hospice with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his loving partner, Phyllis Ruppel, children, Holly (Rich) Alberti, Stephanie (Mike) Ahern, Deb (John) Ruppel, Jim (Christie) Hodge, Anne (Brandon Godbolt) Hodge, Renee Netcel, grandchildren, Alex Alberti, Elizabeth (Aaron) Crombie, Anna Alberti, Nicholas Fultz, Samantha Fultz, Danny Ahern, Lily Ahern, John Ruppel, Harper Ruppel, Jake Hodge, Eddie Votava, Benjamin Godbolt, Brooklyn Godbolt, Amelia Godbolt, Ava Godbolt, Madison Netcel, Ryan Netcel, Mason Netcel, and one great-granddaughter, Lillian Allan Crombie. Nieces, Karen (Dennis) Knudson, Karla (Michael) Baggett and Kristin (John) Feigl also survive. Allan is preceded in death by his parents, LaVaughn and Allan N. Hodge, daughter, Kathleen Hodge in infancy, and brother Raymond Hodge. Allan grew up in the New Lenox area and graduated from Lincoln-Way High School. He stayed in the area until he moved to Monticello, IN. Allan was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era with the military police. Allan was a mechanic for many years and retired from the City of Joliet. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially near the lake and riding along with his dogs in his golf cart. Allan also enjoyed watching college sports, TV, cutting the grass and spending time with his family. Visitation for Allan will take place on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home in Manhattan. Funeral Service will immediately follow on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. Interment with full military funeral honors will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
