Allen John Kwiatkowski, age 72, of Manhattan formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years Patricia (nee Halpin), two children Kenneth (Marcy) Kwiatkowski and Leita (Jason) Budge, his grandchildren Amber (Joseph) Spiess, Ashlee Barger, Andrew Barger, Jon-Michael (Reyna) Kwiatkowski, Tyler Budge and Payton Budge, seven great grandchildren, sister MaryAnn Doll and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Marie (nee Czerwinski) Kwiatkowski, sister Geraldine Jones and brother Martin Kwiatkowski. Allen grew up in Chicago, he was a graduate of Lindblom High School class of 1966, and attended Joliet Junior College, Fire Science Program. Allen was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam war as a Military Policeman. He was a volunteer firefighter for Romeoville Fire Department and was a fireman at Union Oil Refinery in addition to being a Welder for 18 years. Allen was always busy, he enjoyed fixing just about anything and was the family Mr. Fix-it. Al was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Allen will be on Sunday, January 3, 2020 from 2-5:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, January 4, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. with Deacon Milt Leppert Officiating. Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, immediately following.
