Ann E. Mores August 4, 1928 August 8, 2018 Ann Eleanor Mores, age 90, of Manhattan passed away peacefully at The Cottages of New Lenox on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Ann was lovingly cared for by The Cottages and Great Lakes Caring Hospice. Ann was born into life, August 4th 1928 in Fort William, Ontario, Canada, to John and Rose Sojchak. Loving Mother to Maryanne Mores, Michael (Andi) Mores, Kathleen (Dan) Berg, John (Emanuela) Mores, Frank (Ann) Mores. Loving Grandmother to: Krystal (Trey) Williamson, Alexandra Mores, Anna Mores, Marissa Christiansen, Elizabeth Mores, Amanda Berg, Andy (Tierney) Berg. Proud Great Grandmother to; Nolan, Kole, Reed, Nova, Camden & Hailey. Her Brother John (Marlene) Soychak of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada and several nieces & nephews. Spending quality time with Family, Faith & Church were her main interests. As a resident of Manhattan, since 1959, Ann was an active member of St. Joseph Parish and enjoyed participating in the Welcoming Committee, Librarian, Choir, & St. Joseph's CCW. Ann was a proud member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assoc. Preceded in Death by her husband Frank (March 22, 1981), her parents Rose & John Sojchak, her parents-in-law Theresa & Joseph Mores, and her grandson Jason Michael Mores. The Mores Family would like to acknowledge and Thank all the Medical Staff and Caregivers, Speech, Occupation & Physical Therapists, Spiritual guidance from the following: Silver Cross Hospital, RIC, St. Joseph Hospital, Mother Theresa Home, The Cottages of New Lenox, Legacy Rehab & Great Lakes Caring. Visitation for Ann will be Friday, August 10, 2018 from 3-7:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 9:30 A.M. with prayers at the funeral home then going in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 West North St., Manhattan, for 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Manhattan. In keeping with Ann's wishes, she asked that instead of flowers, donations be made in her name to St. Joseph Catholic Church and School or to Providence Catholic High School.
