Arlene Y. Granitz "Mrs. G", age 82, formerly of Manhattan, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at her daughter's home in Frankfort in the loving arms of her family. She is survived by her 6 devoted children; Christopher B. Jr. (Kim), Mary Jo (Barry Sr.) Bradshaw, Anthony (Joy), Tina (James) Karasek, Joseph (Rosemary) and John Francis (Tina), 12 grandchildren; Christopher III, Angelina, Barry Jr., Anthony, Hallelujah Grace, Tiffanie, Taylor, Eve, Samantha, Ave Rose, Nina Marie and Nicholas. One great grandson, Christopher Brian IV., one brother Joseph and one brother-in-law Anthony. Extended family and best friends also survive. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Christopher Brian Granitz, her parents Joseph and Mary (Spitzzeri) Moshiano. One brother Anthony and one sister-in-law Lillian Granitz. Arlene was a graduate of St. Callistus, St. Mary's and Chicago Teachers College where she met and married her husband Chris. She loved teaching children and taught in Chicago and Manhattan while raising her 6 children. She was a dedicated Catholic, a proud American and Irish by marriage. Arlene embraced life completely in Christ. Funeral service for Arlene Granitz will be at noon, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Heritage Baptist Church, 21739 S. LaGrange Rd, Frankfort. Visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. The committal service will be 9:30 am Tuesday, December 12 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
