Audrey E. "Betty" Chapman (nee Cantwell), age 90, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She is survived by her sisters, June Tharp of Crown Point, IN, Bonnie (Joe) York of Parkersburg, IL, her brother, Robert "Dee" Cantwell of Paducah, KY, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Irene (nee Weaver) Cantwell, her husband of over 34 years, Delbert O. Chapman, her sister Virginia McQuin, her brothers Glen Jr. (Sonny) Cantwell, William (Mervin) Cantwell, and Charles Cantwell. Audrey was born in Sumner, IL, she lived in Manhattan for 58 years, retired from Caterpillar in 1988. Audrey will be known for her pristine yard, her incredible work ethic, her neighborly ways, her talent in making quilts and square dancing clothes, and her warm smile to name a few. Visitation for Betty will be Monday, April 3, 2017 from 9-12:00 P.M. at Meyer Funeral Home, Newton, IL. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 Noon also at Meyer Funeral Home.
