Barbara Van Ordstrand, age 74, of Monee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at St. James Hospital, Olympia Fields. She is survived by her children; Julie Bewsey of Dunlap and Matt (Kim) Van Ordstrand of Frankfort, one grandson, Jonathan Van Ordstrand, three granddaughters, Melissa Van Ordstrand, and Samantha and Caroline Bewsey, her brother, Richard (Wanda) Zatteau, two nieces and one nephew and her beloved faithful canine companion, Molly. Preceded in death by her husband, Leslie "Les" Van Ordstrand (2010) and her parents, Ruth and Harold Zatteau. Barbara was the wife of a founding member of the Trinity Evangelical Christian Church. She loved her church family. She also enjoyed many forms of music, her game shows, and was one of the members of the "Manhattan 6". Visitation for Barbara will be Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Phil Epperson Officiating. Cremation to follow and a private inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated.
