Ben Richard Guzek, age 22, of Wilton Center formerly of Evergreen Park, joined the angels in Heaven greeted by his uncle Jason on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Ben is survived by his loving parents Brian and Amy (nee Been) Guzek, his brothers Jack (Ella) Guzek and Trent Guzek, his maternal grandparents Rich and Marsha Been, his paternal grandparents Bob and Audrey Guzek his girlfriend Abby Wilner, his uncle Nick (Molly) Been, his aunt Jill Been, his cousins Bella, Marley, Drake, Ali, Joey, Dino, Lisa, Phill, Cindy, Steve, Jeremy and Jenn and many more. Preceded in death by his uncle Jason Been and Beautiful Aunt Jo and many other family members.
Ben loved his family and friends passionately. Ben's sweet smile, love of animals and kind heart will be remembered. He had a love of cars, motorcycles, and learning new trades. His heart was most full when he was snowboarding, skiing, basking in the sun and jumping in the waves of Siesta Key. Ben was loved greatly by his Brother Rice family and the Manhattan Community. If love was enough, sweet Ben would still be here. Rest with a full heart, free of all anxiety and in Jesus's arms our sweet boy.
A memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 4-5:00 P.M. at Parkview Christian Church, 2121 S. Schoolhouse Rd., New Lenox, IL Funeral service will take place the same evening promptly at 5:00 P.M. A reception will take place immediately following the funeral service in the church lobby, all are encouraged and welcome to attend the memorial visitation, the funeral service and the reception. In lieu of a formal luncheon, the family requests that those that knew and loved Ben, gather together on their own, support each other and celebrate his life in your own special way. Ben will be laid to rest next to his Uncle Jason at Wilton Cemetery, Wilton Center, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ben's name to the Jackson Lewis Memorial Foundation for the prevention and awareness of suicide by visiting www.thelewisfoundation.net.
