Betty Lou Reilly (nee Johansson) Age 79, of New Lenox, IL passed away peacefully Friday, August 4, 2017 at Manteno Springs Assisted Living in Manteno. Born July 17, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late Sven and Martha (nee Palm) Johansson. Betty retired from EchoStar after working for over thirty years. She was an avid reader, loved painting and sewing, and enjoyed working in the yard, especially in her garden. Surviving are four children, Patrick (Jacki) Reilly, Brian Reilly, Caryn (Greg) Kammerer, and Daniel Reilly; seven grandchildren, Caitlin Reilly, Kristen Reilly, Samantha Kammerer, Grace Kammerer, Edward (Stacy) Ludwig, Amanda (Brandon) Pfizenmaier, and Cody Ludwig; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, S. Ronald (Mary) Johansson, Steven (Roseann) Johansson, and Gilbert Johansson; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Manteno Springs Assisted Living and Vitas Hospice for the compassion and care they provided for Betty and her family. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial visitation will be at the Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan, IL Friday, August 11, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. with memorial services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Carol Currier-Frighetto will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
