Bob L. Collins, age 88, of Manhattan, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on February 19th, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, children, Scott (Sherry) Collins, Shannon (Jerry) Loucks, and Dawn (Tony) Janik, grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) and Codi Collins, Jeremy, Jacob, Hanah, Jonah, Jason, Abigail, Andrea, Ashley, and Casey (Jeremy) Friley and great- grandchildren, Zoe, Willow, Tallulah and Hazel Collins also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents Flavie and Olive Collins. Bob was a Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a Motor Room Operator at the U.S. Steel Mill in Chicago for 26 years and retired from Galloy & Van Etten Cut Stone after 14 years. Bob was a music lover, mostly music from the 50's and he also enjoyed war movies. Committal Service with full military honors will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Monday, February 28th, 2022, at 10:30 AM.
