Bonnie Mae Rauworth, age 95, of Manhattan, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Willow Falls Senior Center, Crest Hill. Survived by her children Bryan (Jan) Rauworth, Robert (Natalie) Rauworth and Barry (Heidi) Rauworth, her son-in-law Dennis Schoeling, her grandchildren Matt (Reejay) Rauworth, Leslie (Nick) Rohde, Stacy (Marc) Herren, Krista (Matt) Smith, Jessica (Ryan) Powell, Andrew (Heather) Rauworth, Amanda (Andrew) Schrader, Rachel (Joe) Russotti, Lee (Cassie) Rauworth, Weston (Becca) Rauworth, Elizabeth, Faith, Nate Pawelk, and 18 great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Milton and Frances (nee Mundt) Krapf, her husband Robert (1992), her daughter Cheri Schoeling, her grandson Dirk Rauworth and her sister Norma Jean Boyle.
Bonnie was a graduate of Joliet Township High School. She worked for Illinois Bell and retired after 30 years. Bonnie was an active member of the Manhattan Community. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and she was also a member of the Manhattan Garden Club and was a founder of the Manhattan Historical Society. Bonnie enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family at her Fort Myers Beach condo. Bonnie will be remembered for her friendly smile and kindness and caring of others; she was always willing to lend a helping hand. Bonnie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation for Bonnie will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 9-10:00a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Manhattan. Funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 10:00a.m. Interment Wilton Cemetery, Wilton Center, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bonnie's name to the Manhattan Township Historical Society, P.O. Box 269, Manhattan, IL, 60442 would be most appreciated.
