Brian J. Affrunti, age 31, of Manhattan, died suddenly, Saturday, December 28, 2013. He is survived by his loving family, his parents, Wendy (nee Brill) and Joseph Affrunti of Manhattan, his sister, Elizabeth (Todd) Ramsbottom of Oswego, his brother, Chris of Manhattan, his maternal grandfather, Lloyd Brill, his niece, Anna, his nephews, Ryan and Jake, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Betty Affrunti, and his maternal grandmother, Carol Brill. Brian grew up in Manhattan, attended Anna McDonald Grade School and Lincoln-Way Central High School, Class of 2001, he went on to attend and graduate from Western Illinois University and was currently employed by U.S. Cellular. Brian was an avid sports fan, in particular fantasy football, but above all, Brian loved to fish. He was a very social person who was kind, considerate, reliable, and had many friends who will miss him. Funeral service for Brian will be 10:00a.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 North Cedar Road, New Lenox, IL. Visitation will be Monday, December 30, 2013 from 2-8:00p.m. at Forsythe Funeral Home and he will lie-in-state, Tuesday, from 9:00a.m. until the time of service at 10:00a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL. Memorials to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would be appreciated.
