Carl John Utermark, loving husband, father, stepfather, and friend, passed away on April 11, 2026 at the age of 65. Survived by his wife Jennifer Utermark, sons Adam (Courtney) and David (Tanisha) Utermark, stepdaughter Megan Gassel, siblings Mary (John) Perham, Tom (Lynn) Utermark, Kathy Smith, Carola (Paul) Beemsterboer, Teresa (Paul) Mathews, Michael (Renee) Utermark and Kris (Jill) Utermark, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Carola (nee Koch) Utermark and his beloved dogs Elsa, Alfie, and Jack, best referred to as "The 3 Stooges."

Carl lived his life with a strong will and a spirit that could never be ignored. Known for his stubbornness, he stood firm in what he believed and faced life on his own terms. Alongside that strength was a playful, silly side that brought laughter and light to those around him. Through jokes, teasing, and his unique sense of humor, he had a way of making even the simplest moments unforgettable.

In his later years, he faced the challenges of vascular dementia, a difficult journey that marked the final chapter of his life.

He will be remembered for the smiles he inspired, the moments of laughter he created, and the love he gave in his own way.
