Carolyn E. Duensing, age 78, passed away on August 15, 2024 at her home. Survived by her son Brian (Michelle) Duensing, her grandchildren Alexandra Duensing, Olivia Duensing, and Gavin Duensing, her siblings Myrna Teske, Adele (Ernie) Reising, Lavonne (Fred) Fernatt, and Gloria Bailey and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Elsbeth (nee Bachert) Teske, her husband Wayne Duensing, and her brothers Murl Teske and Robert Teske. Carolyn was a graduate of Beecher High School. She worked at The Princess Cafe while attending high school. Following graduation Carolyn worked for U.S. Steel as a Executive Administrative Assistant. She met her husband Wayne and married April, 15 1967, started her family and spent her time raising Brian until he reached high school. Carolyn then began her career as an administrative assistant for St. James Hospital (Maintenance/Nursing Services), St. James Manor, and at University of Chicago in Anesthesia Dept. Carolyn will be remembered for being the best grandma ever, she lived to spoil her grandchildren. Prayers will take place at 11:30 A.M. on September 9, 2024 at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home with procession to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery immediately following for committal service at 12:30 P.M., where she will be reunited with her husband, Wayne. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
