Charlene Salchow (nee Hutter), age 80, of Kankakee, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Riverside Miller Rehabilitation, Kankakee. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryle (Dennis) Christiansen of Manhattan, IL. Preceded in death by her husband, Burton "Pete" Salchow (2005) and her parents, Joseph and Olive Hutter, her son, Craig B. (1992) and an infant son, Kirk Edward. Charlene was born in Billings, MO, on May 30, 1933 and married Burton on October 6, 1951. She spent most of her married life in the Indianapolis, IN area where she was a homemaker.
