Charlotte Ann
Johnson
July 17, 1934 – October 13, 2024
Charlotte Ann Johnson "Lottie", age 90, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024 at Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, with her loving husband Randy of 39 years at her side. Survived by her stepdaughter Kelly Presley, her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Johnson, her grandchildren Rylee Presley, Jacob (Mary) Johnson, Jessica (Jon) Bradley, Bill Fisher Jr., Edward (Samantha) Fisher, and Stevie (Davin) Rioux, her mother-in-law Kathryn (nee Vrchota) Johnson, her siblings-in-law Reid Johnson, Valerie Pender, Kristine Schmidt, Leif Johnson, Mark Johnson, Carolyn Shindler, and Amy Dunkelburger and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Martha "Penny" Bahn, her three children James Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Judy Fisher, her father-in-law Lynn Johnson and her sister-in-law Laurie Lund. Charlotte owned and operated Creative Play Learning Centers for several years. After retiring, she went to work at the Retired Teachers Association back when computers were new. She was an avid reader, enjoyed jewelry making, photography (especially Ansel Adams), playing the piano, and her time at The Kennel Club with her husband Randy. Charlotte was quite the traveler, she has been to see the white lions in Africa on Safari, she went on a trip to South America and took a boat down the Amazon River, she ice dived in Lake Michigan, she canoed in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota, she went to see the penguins in Antarctica and visited Machu Picchu and has been to Alaska four times in March to see the Iditarod Sled Dog Race. While Charlotte loved traveling and much of the time with Randy as well, she truly enjoyed her time with her husband and her family, she was kind, loving, generous and spirited and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 5-7:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Her funeral service will take place the same evening at 7:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S. State St., Manhattan, IL 60442, 815-478-3321, www.forsythegouldfh.com.
