Christine M. Sweedler, age 69, of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022 with loving family at her side. Survived by her children Angela (Greg Bush) Sweedler and Rick (Nicole Pasieta) Sweedler, her sisters Colleen (Jim) Perkins, Justine McNeil and Helene (Leonard) Seltzer and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen (nee Harms) Franke, her husband Richard Sweedler and many brothers and sisters. Christine was a graduate of St. Francis Academy, Joliet. She married Richard in 1977 and started their beautiful family. Christine also began a career of baking cakes for any occasions. She was a wonderful baker and cook. She loved her cat Precious and traveling and has been to Rome, Paris, Iceland to name a few. Christine especially like taking trips to Table Rock Lake where they enjoyed hers and Rich's lake house and boating together. Christine and Rich will be buried together at Providence Ridge Cemetery, Jackson Township on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. with Deacon Pat Forsythe officiating. All are welcome to attend.
