Christopher Michael
Dolezal "Chris"
Jun 1, 1979 — Jun 20, 2026
Christopher M. Dolezal “Chris”, age 47 of Manhattan, Illinois, passed away on June 20, 2026. He is survived by his parents Robert and Elizabeth (nee Boeding) Dolezal, siblings Jim (Chrissy) Dolezal, Joanna (Andy) Fleming, and David Dolezal, adoring niece and nephew Anya and Zach Fleming, and their beloved family dog Cocoa, lovingly referred to as “his” dog. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Joseph and Anna Marie Dolezal and maternal grandparents Victor and Betty Boeding.
Chris was born in Lawrence, Kansas and happily raised in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from high school, he journeyed into the world of sales and became a long-time manager for RadioShack, which first merged with Sprint until its ownership was transferred to T-Mobile. Chris was an avid collector of movies, comic books, models, and action figures-- owning over 2000 movies with a special place in his heart for everything sci-fi. He was an avid reader. In his spare time, he loved playing games, painting figurines, and sitting on the back deck at home, watching over the fields behind the house, taking in the scenery under the stars and pondering the universe. He was very smart and seemed to remember everything— with thoughtfulness and charitability being major parts of who he was. If anybody came into need, whether part of his life or a stranger, he was always eager and available to jump in for support and assistance. He was well loved as a son, brother, uncle, and friend, and he will be deeply missed.
Per Chris’ wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to American Cancer Society by following this link https://donate.cancer.org/?campaign=menudefault
