Craig J. Cieply, age 73, of Wilton Center, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 22, 2021. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years Marilyn (nee Nolan), his children Joann (Doug) Purcell, Sue (Dave) Sparks, Lisa (Anne Smith) Cieply and Jim (Dani) Cieply, his grandchildren Sean, Aidan, Tera, Colin, Cameron, Leah, Tana, Carter and Morgan, his sister Donna (Norm) Hecht, his brothers-in-law, Terry (Kathy) Nolan, David (Phyllis Weinberg) Nolan and Ken (Jeanne-deceased) Kuzmicz and numerous nieces and nephews. Craig grew up on the south side of Chicago. He was a graduate of University of Illinois, Chicago Campus and he worked as a machinist for over 40 years. After retiring, Craig perfected the art of relaxing. He thoroughly enjoyed the no obligation lifestyle of fishing, reading, watching movies, taking in a Chicago Bears game, drinking beer, mowing grass and spending quality time with his family. Craig was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Craig will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on the same day beginning with prayers at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 W. North St., Manhattan for 1:30 P.M.
