Cynthia A. Moroney, age 61, Blue Island, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn. Survived by her devoted husband of 34 years Sean, her children John (Margaret) Moroney and Sean Moroney Jr., her siblings Lin Liston and Henrietta Skolnick, her siblings-in-law Michael Moroney, Elizabeth Barton, Kathryn Moroney and Mary Holly Jurgerson, her nieces and nephews Henry Skolnick, Ally Skolnick, Alex (Alex) Carlson, Michael Moroney, Allison Moroney, Scott (Selina) Jurgerson, Emily Vranicar, Elizabeth Jurgerson and Erin Jurgerson and her faithful canine companion "Doug". Preceded in death by her parents Henry and Armida (nee Gutierrez) Garcia and her sister Beverly Garcia. Cynthia was a graduate of Bowen High School in Chicago. She worked for several years as a teachers aide at Keller Gifted Center in Chicago. Cynthia was always full of ideas and had lots of dreams of crafting. She enjoyed her time with her "Mothers Club" and was an avid New York Yankees fan. Cynthia enjoyed her simple life, she loved her family especially her kids, she loved her husband, her friends, and her dog. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial visitation for Cynthia will take place on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m. A time of sharing will take place at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has been respectfully addressed.
