Dale B. DeGrush, age 84, of Mazon, IL passed away on Friday March 12, 2021 at Morris Hospital with his family at his side. Born August 20, 1936 in Mazon. Dale was the son of the late Burnette "Hap" and E. Louise (Misener) DeGrush. He was raised and educated in Mazon attending Mazon Schools and graduating with the class of 1954. Dale married Carolyn Hintze on May 27, 1956 in the Mazon Methodist Chruch. He retired from the Pipefitter's Local #422 in 2000 and also farmed for many years in Mazon Township before moving to Mazon. Farming was his greatest love. Dale enjoyed his yard, mowing and being in his garage. He also loved helping his sons whenever he could but especially loved and enjoyed visits with his grand and great grandchildren. Dale is survived by his wife Carolyn of 65 years and three sons, Corey (Renee) DeGrush, Paul (Mindy) Degrush and Brian (Tina) DeGrush, six grandchildren Zach and Cody DeGrush, Dalton and Madison DeGrush, Tristan DeGrush and Regan DeMoraes, seven great grandchildren, Nash and Vail DeGrush, Colby Halstead and Kendricks DeGrush, Ashlyn and Callen DeMoraes, and five nieces. Dale was preceded in death by his parents Hap and Louise Degrush, father and mother-in-law Paul and Rose Hintze, sister and brother-in-law Marie and Fred Erickson, two sisters and brother -in-laws Marie Davis and Betty Walsh and great granddaughter Sawyer DeGrush. Pallbearers will be his six grandchildren Zach and Cody DeGrush, Dalton and Madison DeGrush, Tristan DeGrush and Regan DeMoraes. Due to Covid, there will be no visitation and a private funeral service will be held. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Morris. Memorials in Dale's name may be made to the Mazon Food Pantry.
