David C. McClure, age 88, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 9, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Marjorie (nee Fox), his children Ellen McClure Weiske and James (Susan) McClure, five grandchildren Jennifer McClure, Katie (Mike) Taylor, Mike (Jessica) McClure, Larry (Jamie) Weiske, and Josh Weiske, five great grandchildren, and two nieces. Preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Laura McClure, his brother James Wayne McClure, his sister Margaret Lawrence, and one grandson Matthew McClure. David was a farmer all of his life. He enjoyed photography and was an accomplished photographer himself. David was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and a member of the Will County Farm Bureau. Visitation for David will be from 9-11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 40 Houbolt Rd, Joliet, IL 60431. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M. in the Sanctuary with Pastor Dave Nygard officiating.
