Debra J. Heitman, age 65, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Bob Heitman, devoted daughter Marcy (Ken) Kwiatkowski, grandchildren; Amber (Joe) Spiess, Ashlee Barger, Andrew Barger, Jon-Michael (Reyna) Barger, sister Carole (Mike) Griggs, six great grandchildren, sister-in-law Patricia Heitman, brother-in-law Gary Heitman, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents John and Betty Current, her mother and father in law Victor and Mary Heitman, sister Janet Benson, brothers-in-law Gordon Heitman and Gerry Heitman. Debra was a true matriarch in the family, organizing Sunday fun days at her home playing games of all sorts with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards, reading, knitting, boating and cuddling with her dogs. Debra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 11-1:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service for Debra will be the same day at 1:00 P.M. also at the funeral home.
