Doris J. Robbins (nee Groleski), age 97 of Bourbonnais formerly of Peotone, passed away on November 12, 2024, at Bourbonnais Grove Assisted Living with her loving family at her side. Survived by her children Stephen (Brenda) Gallagher and Debbie Robbins, daughter-in-law Pamela Gallagher, grandchildren Kimberly (Michael Cerniglia) Davis, Rachel (Dan) Blacketer, Carey (Rick Boover) Gallagher, Shawn Gallagher, Corrigan (Heather) Gallagher, Daniel (Jen) Gallagher Jr., Scott Gallagher, Kristi (Mike) Sorenson, Chad (Tammy) Gallagher, Casey Gallagher, Michelle (Matt) Hansen, Michael (Katie) Robbins, Matt (Catrina) Robbins, 20 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, stepchildren Rosalie Thatcher and Margaret (Arnie) Johnson, step-daughters-in-law Loretta Robbins, Janet Robbins, and Linda Robbins, and numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Anton and Lillian Groleski, her first husband Francis Gallagher and her second husband Gerald Robbins, her two sons Lawrence Gallagher and Daniel Gallagher Sr., her stepchildren Jerry Robbins, Dave Robbins, Jack Robbins, Maxine and Mary Jane Robbins, Richard Robbins, Edward Robbins and step-son-in-law John Thatcher. Doris was a farmer's wife her whole life. Helping out with every aspect of farming was second nature to her. Doris was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wilton Center. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed playing cards and games, traveling and baking but what brought Doris the most joy was spending time with her family. Visitation for Doris will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 3:30pm – 7:00pm at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place the following day, November 19, 2024, at 10:00am with Deacon Milt Leppert officiating, also at the funeral home. Interment Mt.
