Edmund Matczak, "Edju" age 91, passed away on May 31, 2020 at the Manteno Veterans Home. Edju was born to Ignatius Matczak and Catherine Matczak (Dudek) on June 21, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. He started his journey when he began working at the William Wrigley Junior Company, in Chicago Illinois from 1947-1951. He then joined the army on May 29, 1951 and was transferred to the army reserve in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri on May 28, 1953. He stayed in the reserve until May 29, 1956 and then went back to work at the William Wrigley Junior Company until retirement. Edju was a wonderful friend and a very loving uncle. Anyone who knew Edju knew that he loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Visitation for Edju will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from 5-7:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 11:30 A.M. also at the funeral home.
