Faith L. Koehler (nee Zlomie), age 59, of Peotone, passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with breast cancer on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, with her loving family at her side. Survived by her parents Al and Jenny (nee Mack) Zlomie, her husband of 36 years, Donald Koehler, her children Matthew (Marissa) Koehler and Jonathan (Rebecca Jawed) Koehler, her grandchildren Braxton and Brayden Koehler, her siblings Ronny Landers, Nola (Joe) Spangler, Alan (Tracy) Zlomie Jr., and Tim (Tina) Zlomie, her mother-in-law Evelyn Koehler, her sister-in-law Carol (Larry) Hawes, her nieces and nephews Jamie Landers, Cheryl Landers, Jeff Landers, Mike (Tracy) Spangler, Ricky Spangler, Jennifer (Dan) Morris, Jake (Erica) Zlomie, Madison (Taylor) Hill, Tori (Jeremy) Bailey, Alex Zlomie, and Steven (Stephanie) Niemann, numerous great nieces and great nephews and her faithful canine companions Roxie, Penny, and Mick. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents John and Kate Mack, her paternal grandmother Marge Zlomie and her father-in-law Gerald Koehler. Faith embraced the life of a farmer's wife including running the combine. Faith enjoyed many pastimes including, riding her golf cart, often with her dogs by her side, playing on her iPad, fine embroidery, gardening vegetables and flowers, she loved all animals and a good book. Above all, Faith took most joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Faith will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 12-4:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan. Funeral service will take place the same afternoon at 4:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. Per Faith's wishes, cremation will follow.
