Frances Irene Manheim, age 91, left us on August 6, 2015, with her children by her side in Urbana, Illinois. She was the widow of Robert Manheim. They shared 50 years together. Fran was born March 25, 1924, in Arkansas, to Jess and Maggie Bauldwin. She had five siblings, Grover Bauldwin, Bernard Bauldwin, Alfred Tommy Bauldwin, Gertrude Terry and Juanita Ervin. She moved to Illinois in 1945. Fran was employed at Bergner's for 39 years, and enjoyed helping her clients pick out the perfect items for their special events. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with friends and visiting with her many grandchildren. She will be remembered for her spitfire attitude, independent nature and true zest for left. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Grover and Nancy Manheim, Robert and Donna Manheim and Phyllis and Jerry Larsen; twelve grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; and ten great -great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her son, Thomas; and all five of her siblings. A Memorial is planned for Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with special words of remembrance at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Church Hall, 235 West North Street, Manhattan, IL. In Lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
