Francis Jackson, age 79, of Romeoville, passed away at home with his family by his side on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Survived by his son, George (Kelly) Jackson; grandchildren, Joseph (Samantha) Jackson, Caitlyn (Jason) Martin, and Jeremy Jackson; great grandchildren, Nolan, Eleanor, Ysabella, Sophia, Spencer, Finneas, and Warrick; son-in-law, Jeff Greenberg; siblings, Patricia (Rocky) Maiellaro, Gregory Jackson, Elizabeth Sears, and Timothy (Susan) Jackson; brother-in-law, Leonard Rodriguez. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

Preceded in death by his wife, Lupe Jackson; daughter, Paula Greenberg; parents, George (Elizabeth) Jackson and nine of his siblings.

Fran was a family man in every sense. As the patriarch, he took his role very seriously. When he wasn't golfing with his buddies or vacationing in Vegas, he was often found conversing with his son, bouncing one of his great grandkids on his knee or carrying on extensive conversations about politics with his grandkids. He was loving, generous, warm, and above all he was the type of man to never let anyone he cared for go without if he could help it.

Visitation for Francis will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 4:00 P.M -8:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military Honors.
