Obituary

Frank J. Farrell, age 67, of Frankfort, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 16, 2024, with his loving family at his side. Survived by his best friend and companion Eileen Lenihan, his bonus daughter Jennifer (Gino) Bucci, his granddaughter Gia Bucci, his siblings Mary Ellen (George) Reitz, Sharon (Late Kenneth) Bolhuis, Daniel (Mary) Farrell, special cousin Jackie Farrell, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, his extended family, the Lenihan clan and his faithful feline companion "Sammie". Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Rita (nee Clancy) Farrell and his nephew Daniel M. Farrell.

Frank was raised in Oak Lawn, IL. He owned and operated his own drywall business, Farrell Drywall and Co until retirement. After retirement, Frank drove a school bus for First Student for 12 years until his passing. Frank was an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, the Chicago White Sox, and all things Irish. In his younger years, Frank played hockey and softball on numerous adult leagues, he truly loved this time and only quit when he was no longer able to play. Frank also took great joy in attending his granddaughter's events, his world revolved around her, he was a very proud Papa. Frank will be remembered for his kind, generous, and humble soul and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation for Frank will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 10-11:00 A.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be the same morning beginning with prayers at the funeral home at 11:00 then process to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 W. North St., Manhattan for 11:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wilmington will immediately follow. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
