Frank J. Favicchio Jr., age 68, of Elwood, formerly of New Lenox, passed away peacefully at his home with family at his side on September 27, 2014 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Phyllis (nee Molinero), his children: Lisa (Charles) Donnelly of TX, Kristine (Richard) Leonard of Yorkville, and Frank (Kimberly) Favicchio of New Lenox, his grandchildren: Aleesha Donnelly, Joshua (Kristi) Jender, Danielle Jender, Joshua Donnelly, Anthony Hernandez, Joseph Favicchio, Dominic Hernandez, and Isabella Donnelly, his great grandchildren: Nikolas, Caleb, Sarah, Ella, and Katie, and numerous cousins and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Ann Favicchio. Frank was a lifelong union member retiring from the Teamsters Locals 179 & 734. He was also a member of St. Joseph Church, Manhattan and a former member of St. Jude Church, New Lenox, as well as a past member of the Maria S.S. Lauretana Society. He was the true definition of an outdoorsman; his adventures included fishing, hunting, and boating. He especially enjoyed the ocean as he was born in Acushnet, Massachusetts. Frank's other interests included trains, antique cars, the Blackhawks, and he was an avid lifelong White Sox Fan. Above all, Frank was a husband, dad, papa, and big papa, he took pride in those titles and he will be dearly missed.

Chinthagada and Martini of the Pain Centers of Chicago; and the nurses and staff on 5 West at Prescence St. Joseph Medical Center for all of their special care, support, and love.
Funeral will be 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014, from Forsythe Funeral Home, Manhattan, to St. Joseph Church, 235 West North Street, Manhattan, for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 30, from 3-9:00 p.m. Interment, Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Frank's name to American Cancer Society or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be most appreciated.
