Gene C. Pahnke, age 53, of Manhattan passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Survived by his mother, Linda Pahnke; brother, Glen (Julie) Pahnke; nephew, Dean Pahnke; nieces, Mary Jane Pahnke and Lois Pahnke; sister-in-law, Elisha Pahnke, Numerous cousins, and friends also survive.

Preceded in death by his father, Thomas Pahnke; brother, Shawn Pahnke, and his grandparents.

Gene was hardworking and loved spending time with those he loved. He was a die-hard Cubs fan and loved to watch and play golf. He enjoyed playing pool and darts in local leagues with his friends. He appreciated live music and collecting musical paraphernalia. Gene loved dogs and over his lifetime he rescued and homed several Doberman Pinchers. He leaves behind two, Brutus and Lizzie. We will keep him in a special place here on earth. Gene was loving and caring towards his mother, family, and friends who he treated like family. All will miss Gene, dearly now and forever.
