Obituary

George A. Lee, age 79, of Elwood, passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce Lee, his daughter, Cynthia Lee of Tamarac, FL., one brother, Fr. James Lee of Olympia, WA, two sisters, Rita Lee of Omaha, NE, and Pat Lee of Chicago, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Lee, and one brother, Robert Lee. George was a machinist at Corn Products retiring after 38 years. He had a passion for staying physically fit and enjoyed nature, especially through the Arbor Day Foundation. George was also a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manhattan. Funeral service for George will be Saturday, 9:30 a.m. in procession from Forsythe Funeral Home to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 W. North St., Manhattan, for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be Friday from 3-7:00 p.m. Interment St. Joseph Guardian Angel Cemetery, Manhattan. Forsythe Funeral Home 507 S.
