September 15, 1956 – June 21, 2025
Grace Ann Niemiec, age 68, of Wilton Center, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Survived by her husband of 40 years Stephen Niemiec, her stepfather Theodore Kalinowski, her children Stephanie (Christopher) Riner, Christina Sintic, Kimberly (Timothy) Miller, Laura (Matthew) Johnson, her grandchildren Haylie Riner, Benjamin (fiancé Ashlee Wesselhoff) Riner, Emma Riner, Franklin Sintic, Anna Sintic, Ryan Massey, Reagan Miller, and Dylan Miller, her siblings Thomas Crossin, and Deborah Kalinowski, numerous nieces and nephews, and her faithful canine companion "Grover". Preceded in death by her parents Edward Crossin and Adele (nee Toomey) Crossin Kalinowski, her brother Edward Kalinowski and her dogs "Bert" and "Ernie". Grace Ann was a graduate of Homewood Flossmoor High School. She worked for Robert Wolf & Associates, an advertising firm, for many years until she became the Director of Marketing at Great Lakes Bank. Grace Ann also served as an administrative assistant for the Diocese of Joliet in her later years. She and her husband Stephen were long time active members of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wilton Center and could also be found at the Latin Masses at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rockdale. Grace Ann had a very strong faith; she was a 3rd Order Lay Carmelite for the past 12 years and taught CCD. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing and the Green Bay Packers. Grace Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Grace Ann will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 4pm – 8pm at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. The funeral service will be the following day, June 26, 2025, at 8:15 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wilton Center. Interment will immediately follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood at 10am. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
