Hazel Heatherwick, age 94, of Green Garden Twp., passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2015. She is survived by her three sons; Alan of Frankfort, Lane (Linda) of Peotone and Kent of Kankakee, her grandchildren, Jon, Grant, Carrie, Adam (Shauna), and Andrew, her great grandchildren, Kadden and Grace, her step-great grandchildren, Karli, Randee, Reese, her sister, Lila Ganser of Fl., her sister-in-law, Viola Heatherwick of Lemont and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Everette W. Heatherwick (2003), and her parents, Peter and Carrie (nee Holm) Smith, her daughter-in-law, Beverley Heatherwick, her brother, Peter (Letty) Smith and her sister, Eileen (Tom) Wagner. Hazel was born in Homer Twp. in 1920. She was married to Everette Heatherwick for 62 years. In that time they farmed together for 11 years and then became Allis Chalmers Equipment Dealers in 1955 and worked at that for 30 years. She was involved in 4-H, was an active member of Green Garden United Methodist Church for many years, and was an active member of the Will County Threshermen Association. Funeral service for Hazel Heatherwick will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Green Garden United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard Young officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment Green Garden Green View Cemetery.
