Obituary

Henry William Robinson, Jr., lovingly known as "Bud", "Robby", and "Hank", age 78 of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Manhattan, IL, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. Survived by his loving wife Sally Robinson (nee Seagard), children Eric Robinson, Michael (Lauren) Robinson, and Julie (Steve) Anderson, grandchildren Austin Robinson, Kamrin Robinson, Eric Robinson Jr., Dylan Robinson, Elise Robinson, Kayla Anderson, Brooke Robinson, and Jacob Anderson, and brother-in-law Peter (Marlene) Seagard. Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Bernadine (nee Walsh) Robinson, siblings Gail (Steve) Krasowski, Phillip Robinson, Thomas Robinson, and Jean (James) Orlos, sister-in-law Joanne Seagard and brother-in-law James Orlos.

Henry graduated from Revis High School in 1965 and carried forward with a life devoted to service. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1970. Following his years of devotion in the military, he continued to serve communities at large through his work with the United States Postal Service. His thoughtfulness and commitment to his family, his Navy buddies, and all the friends he made and held dearly went above and beyond. He had an infectious personality that would grab people's attention and hearts in an instant, leaving them to wonder how time flew by so quickly interacting with him. His social nature turned him into "the man of many names", each granted to him honorably and affectionately. He took so much pride in his children's accomplishments and adored every moment with his grandchildren, who always put a smile on his face. His love, compassion, and spirit knew no bounds.

From fishing and camping to football, Henry thrived in the great outdoors, sharing these experiences with those closest to him. Specifically, regarding football, he was the quarterback in high school and loved to play and watch it as the years went on, actively participating in Fantasy Football as well and betting on the best of them. He also found his thrills in card games and laughter. As a collector at heart, he was particularly fond of his extensive collection of sports cards. Those who had the privilege of knowing him will always remember his big heart and open arms. A beloved husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, and Uncle who will be deeply missed.
