Age 81, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet. He was born August 16, 1934 in Dubuque, Iowa. Irwin is survived by his wife, JoAnn (nee Wilhelmi) Jones; daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Rodzen of Manhattan; sister, Beth Miller of Des Moines, IA; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Irwin Joseph, Sr. and Ethel (nee Roberts) Jones; big brother, Kenneth Jones; and two sisters, Jeanette Lamoreaux and Josephine Lonergan. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be at the United Methodist Church: 339 W. Haven Ave, New Lenox, IL 60451, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
