Obituary

Jack A. Lee, age 82, of Elwood passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Arcadia Care Center, Morris, IL. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Susanne (nee Delaney) Lee, his children Terri (Ralph) Papesh, Nikki (Nick) Skiniotes, Danielle (Matthew) Walsh and Jeb Lee, grandchildren Ross (Jacki) Papesh, Morgen (Alex) Africa, Brad Skiniotes, John Skiniotes, Nick Skiniotes, Eric Skiniotes, Matthew Walsh Jr., Casie Walsh, Brayden Walsh, Brody Walsh and Mason Lee, great grandchildren Laney, Greyson and Amy Kate, siblings Edie (Jerry) Vanderhyden, Kathy (Jimmy) Walsh, numerous nieces, nephews and friends and his faithful canine companion "Otto". Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mae Lee and his brother Jimmy Lee. Jack graduated from Joliet Township High School. He was a member of the teamsters for 39 years. He worked for Meadow Gold for a few years and then went on to work for Welsch Red-E-Mix, retiring after 35 years. Jack enjoyed hunting in Wisconsin with family and friends, gardening, arrowhead hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. Jack also loved history and loved animals of all kinds. A committal service for Jack and a time of sharing is scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Manhattan. All friends and family are encouraged to attend. As parking will be a challenge in the cemetery, please park in Berkot's parking lot across the street. A celebration of Jack's life will continue after the committal service where there will be food and refreshments, location will be announced at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Waterstone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be most appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507, S.
