Jacob "Butch" Kruizenga, age 82 of Bourbonnais formerly of Manhattan, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Nancy (nee Frantz), his children William (Tina), Diane (Mitch) Neal, Bruce (Tiffany) Brad (Elizabeth) and Brian (Kelly), 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and his sister Nellie Ann Gleich. Preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Cornelia Kruizenga and his sister Martha Schumacher. Jacob was born and raised in Chicago growing up a life-long Chicago Cubs fan. He was a graduate of Argo Community High School and later became a journeyman carpenter for over 35 years. Jacob enjoyed the simple things in life such as reading, taking care of his home and his lawn and spending time with his family. Visitation for Jacob will be Friday, February 7, 2020 from 10-12:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be the same day at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Craig Crombar officiating.
