Obituary

James F. Campanile, of Deerbrook, died Saturday, July 27, 2019, at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 86 years old. He was born on April 8, 1933, in Riverdale, IL a son of the late James and Marie Campanile. He married Carol (McConnell) Deloian on December 10, 1988 at Calumet City, IL. James served in the United States Army from August 16, 1957 to August 15, 1959. He then served in the United States Army Reserves until 1963. He moved to Deerbrook in 1995. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Deerbrook and the Langlade County Voiture 1204, 40 et 8. He enjoyed trap shooting and fly fishing. Survivors include his wife, Carol of Deerbrook; a son, James (Gina) Campanile of Western Springs, IL; a daughter, Nancy Drzewecki of Mindota, IL; a son-in-law, Robert Pagnusat of Lowll, IN; four step children; Denise (Frank) Lollino, Craig (Lori) Deloian, Michael (Kim) Deloian and Elizabeth (Tom) Bauer; his grandchildren Zac Campanile, Sam, Joey, Olivia, Patrick, Emily, Nathan Deloian, Jillian and Kimberly Drzewiecki, Steven (Molly) Lollino, Nicholas (Alicia) Lollino, and Samantha Pagnusat; one great-grandchild Nolan Lollino; and a sister, Adeline Lorenz of Burnham, IL. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Victoria Pagnusat and Jenifer Campanile; and two sisters, Ruth Lorenz and Ethel Sitarz. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 1 at 10 a.m. at the Forsythe Gould Funeral Home in Manhattan, IL with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Following the service burial with Military Honors will take place at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL In Lieu of flowers, donations in James's name to American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, would be most appreciated.
