Jim was a graduate of Bloom High School in Chicago Heights. He worked for Marblehead Lime for many years and retired from Owens Corning in Summit. Jim enjoyed all high school sports and attended many of his grandkids sporting events. He also liked the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox. Jim even had the opportunity to go onto the White Sox field and meet the players. Jim could also be found on the golf course, playing a good hand of poker or any card game, reading (especially a history book), listening to Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Sammy Davis, and Bing Crosby, and watching the birds and country wildlife, but most of all, Jim loved his family, he took most joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
