Jamie K. Cardosi (Lorenz), age 59 of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox.
"And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make" – Beatles
Our Jamie will be leaving this world with an abundance of love, if she leaves with even a fraction of what she put out into the world. Jamie was the kind of person who everyone looked forward to seeing again. She was formally trained as a caregiver with her nursing degree, but lived her life this way additionally through her work as a cosmetologist, spiritual medium, and Reiki master. She was our jet setter- a soul on the move in her own journey, traveling the country and seeking a higher love. Her service as a medium and Reiki master was founded on her strong Lutheran faith, and built by her hard work and dedication to both self and others. It was rare that a person could speak to Jamie without receiving guidance with his or her Earthly journey. Her love for lighthouses is a symbol that directly reflects her role as our beacon of light, love and hope.
Jamie is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Cardosi and his children Tori (Al) McDonald and Michael (Laura) Cardosi, her sister Jodie (Scott) Ford, and her nieces Amanda (Josh) Jendrzejczyk, Courtney (Andy) Glos-Baker, and Hannah (TJ) Frain. She will also be missed dearly by her honorary grandchildren- Charlie, Emily, Hayden, Leia, Luke, Wendy, Lena and Sophie. She is preceded in death by her first husband Andrew Malag, her parents James and Sharon Lorenz, her sister Wendy (Ron) Glos, her brother Jeff Lorenz and honorary grandchildren Jackson and Logan.
In Jamie's words, "Love and light, peace and blessings to all."
Visitation for Jamie will be on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 9-11:00 A.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place the same day immediately following the visitation also at the funeral home. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
In lieu of flowers, Jamie asked that donations be made in her honor to the Joliet Junior College Department of Nursing.
