Obituary

Janet "Jan" M. Patterson (nee Macklem), age 84, passed away peacefully at her home with family at her side on Thursday, April 7, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James, one son, Craig (Cheri), two daugthers, Kathy (Lonnie) McCollum, and Karen (Joe) Boseo all of Manhattan, her grandchildren, Corie (Brandon) Delimata, Craig (Brooke) Patterson, Kevin (Jessica) Patterson, Tom (Amanda) McKenna, Kyle McKenna, Tyler McKenna, Jacki (Kyle) Wesolowski, Julie (Alex) Szepelak, Steve McCollum, Jake McCollum, Dan (Melanie) Boseo, Andy (Kazia) Boseo, Joe (Tina) Boseo, fifteen great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Gerould and Ruby Macklem, two sisters, Jean Evans and Nancy Sheler, and one granddaughter, Kristi (Mark) Sewing. Jan was born in Davenport, IA. She was a long time resident of Manhattan and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church since 1962. Jan was also the founder of The Rosary Makers of St. Joseph. Funeral service for Jan Patterson will be 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in procession from Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 West North St., Manhattan, for 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 4-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Manhattan. Memorials in Janet's name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or to the American Cancer Society would be most appreciated.
