Janice Vaughan, age 75, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at her home with her loving family at her side. Survived by her husband of 43 years Joseph Vaughan, children Lisa Johnston, Joe (Robin) Vaughan, Kenny Vera, Jerry Vera, and Marc (Anjanette) Vaughan, grandchildren Tiffany, Vivian, Felicia, Tim, Nikki, Josh, Amanda, Jerry Jr., Hendrik, Braeden, Troy and Jared, several great grandchildren and brother Lupe Ramirez. Preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Vivian Janes, daughter Paula Vaughan, son Jeremy Vaughan and grandchildren Stefanie Vaughan, Ashley Vaughan and Antonio Vaughan and siblings Judy McSherry, Jerry Janes, Rudolph Janes, Howard Ramirez and Lenny Ramirez. Janice was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed shopping, playing gambling machines and TV shows of all kinds, but what brought Janice most joy in life was her love of her grandchildren. They will remember her fondly for making the holidays so special. Visitation for Janice will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 4-7:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be the same evening at 7:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be Friday, October 6 at St. Joseph Guardian Angel Cemetery, Manhattan.
