Jay C. Chandler, age 68, of New Lenox, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years Deborah (Dunivant) Chandler and his daughter Shannon Chandler. Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Irene (Lemons) Chandler, his parents-in-law Robert and June Dunivant and his brother-in-law Bobby Dunivant. Jay was a graduate of Lincoln-Way H. S. class of '71. Jay worked as a carpenter and was a member of the carpenters union for some time. Later, Jay worked as a land surveyor for many years for U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Ruettiger, Tonelli and Associates and Rogina and Associates. Jay served as a past president of the New Lenox Lions, he LOVED all sports, cooking, golfing, and fishing (especially at the Lake of the Ozarks).
