Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Eugene (2016), an infant daughter, Catherine Ann (1962), daughter, Carol Young (2011), parents, Elmer and Bernice, brother, William Moser and sister, Shirley Gallagher. Jean was an active member of the Elwood Community Church for many years. She grew up in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Township High School. While in school, she enjoyed working at her father's bakery in Plainfield. Jean later went to work at the Joliet Arsenal and eventually worked as a nurse at Salem Village for a great number of years before retiring. Jean was a snowbird and would take trips with her husband to Florida every winter. She also loved travelling to Wisconsin, Las Vegas and Tennessee. In her spare time, Jean took great joy in painting, coloring in adult coloring books and baking. She was also an avid bird watcher and would often feed the hummingbirds that came to her feeders. Jean's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those at Lightways Hospice for their care and support. A special thanks would like to be given to her granddaughters, Heidi and Melanie and niece, Peggy Yunker for their help and support. "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
