Obituary

Jeanne M. Milella, age 91, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Meadowbrook Manor, Bolingbrook. She is survived by her children Mary (Chris Lehnert) Milella, Frank (Dawn) Milella, grandchildren Holly Dertz, Kristy Dertz, Sydney Lehnert, Corey (Shannon) Milella, Amber (Dyllon) Goyette, numerous great grandchildren, her siblings Eileen Pikula, her brothers-in-law Jack Delaney and Gary Fort and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Nora (nee Sadler) Wagner, her husband Frank (2005), sister Carolyn Fort, and brother-in-law Michael Pikula. Jeanne was raised in Tinley Park. She was active at both the Villa Santa Maria and St. George Catholic Schools while her children attended those schools. Jeanne worked for Gatelys Peoples Store in Tinley Park for Many years until her retirement in 1994 when she moved to Elwood. She was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manhattan for several years. Jeanne will be remembered for her fabulous baking, especially her lemon bars, brownies and chocolate chip cookies and her loud and fun sisters gatherings but most of all, what will be remembered most was her generous sweet spirit. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Jeanne will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 10am – 12:30pm at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Prayers will take place at 12:30pm followed by a procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manhattan for 1pm Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org would be most appreciated.
