John David Fox passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at his home. Survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Tammy (nee Schroder) Fox, his stepchildren Jillian Corbin, Alexander (Julie) Szepelak and Kyle Szepelak; siblings Gilbert "Ed" (Helen) Fox, Joan (Elwynne) Welsh, James (Debbie) Fox, Lori (Dave) Brusich, Paul (Roxann) Fox and Larry (Kris) Fox; grandchildren Gianna, Marcus, Lucas, Lily, Edward, and William; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Dorothy (nee Fuerst) Fox. John was a proud Local 1889 Union Carpenter for 29 years. He was a lifelong resident of Wilton Center. John enjoyed woodworking and building everything from start to finish. He took great pride in maintaining his land as well as his home, making sure his lawn was immaculate. He cherished his faithful pups, Archie and Lila as well as many others. He enjoyed kayaking, his John Deere Gator and spending time with family and friends. John will be dearly missed. Visitation for John will be on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 4-8:00p.m. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 10:00a.m. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the Funeral Service at Wilton Cemetery, Wilton Center, IL.
