Obituary

John R. Keigher, age 76, of Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary (nee Morrical) Keigher, son John "Jay" (Natalie) Keigher of Orland Park, grandson Thomas Keigher, brother Roger (Janet) Keigher and sisters Joan (Dennis) Hall, Jean (Richard) Boland and Patti (Chester) Kirk and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Ambrose and Adele (nee Dorais) Keigher, his parents-in-law Merl and Alma Morrical, brothers-in-law Kenneth and Gerald Morrical and his sister-in-law Bonnie Lavoie.

John attended St. Joseph's Academy in Manteno, Bishop McNamara High School, Kankakee, Joliet Junior College, Joliet and Lewis University, Romeoville. John also served his country with the United States Army. John was an accomplished project manager. He held licensed patents on processed water treatment and co-authored two professional publications. John was employed with Unilever for 23 years. He was a partner and founder of Tri State Enterprises for 19 years. Upon his retirement, he engaged in his first love, farming, with his brother Roger and finally retired in 2022.

John also liked to travel and he enjoyed a Euchre game every now and then.

Visitation for John will take place on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 2-7:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, November 18, 2023 beginning with prayers at 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home followed by procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 W. North St., Manhattan for 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais immediately following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to St. Joseph Grade School, P.O. Box 70, Manhattan, IL 60442. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
